International Workers Memorial Day Service

A special day is held across the world each year to remember those lost to asbestos. This Day is recognised in over 180 countries around the world.
The day includes:
- Speakers of interest
- Singer/musician
- Bagpiper
- Ecumenical Service with segment for the laying of wreaths in remembrance of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their work
- Free community BBQ at the conclusion of the event
Asbestos Awareness Day

On the last Friday in November we hold Asbestos Awareness Day to remember and celebrate loved ones.

Asbestos Awareness Morning tea
November - date and venue to be confirmed
Our morning tea is held during Asbestos Awareness Week, and provides the opportuntity to enjoy a delicious morning tea of scones (homemade of course), jam and cream – tea and coffee, and there will be experts on hand to answer questions from the community including:
- OHS&E environmental firm
- Latrobe City Environmental Health unit
- Sustainability Education Officer at Latrobe City Council
There will be a physical display of items containing asbestos both past and present.
Please join us for a most informative morning where all your questions about the asbestos issues can be talked about with professionals in their field of knowledge
