Monash University Community Placement-1st Year Medical Students

#asbestos #silica #monashuniversity #acvgards #education – 9th Oct 2024 saw our final set of 1st year medical students for the year finish their community placement with us here at ACV/GARDS – they finished a 38 hour placement over a few months – we had a terrific last day with a session on line with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers talking about litigation around asbestos and silica. Nathuli and Matilda said they learnt so much in the time they were here with us and enjoyed meeting so many people who were only too happy to help educate them to all the issues around asbestos and silica – the health aspect, environmental impact, emotional and social impact this has in a community and what is out there in this space around treatments and research. We wish them good luck in their chosen profession and hope they remember their time with us with fond memories and new found knowledge to add to their tool kit
