AGL Loy Yang Monash University Students Tour July 31st

31st July saw ACV/GARDS rep Vicki – take Monash University Medical Students Ruxanda and Nesreen – along with their Professor Margaret Simmons out to AGL Loy Yang for a tour of the power station and mine. It was a great day and a really great opportunity for these students and their lecturer to get a close up look at how the power station works and the mine and talk up close and personal with some of the employees that work there. It is a really great way for the students to understand the industry in which some people work. It was also terrific to have the complex industry of power generation explained to them and to understand just what goes into making electricity for the state of Victoria. The students and their lecturer were very impressed and ACV/GARDS were pleased to have been able to arrange this tour for them. Thank you so much to AGL Loy Lang – to the tour guides who made themselves available and to Nigel Browne and Leonie Paulet for making this happen – we very much appreciated it.
