Asbestos Awareness Day Event Gippsland Nov 29th 2024

#asbestoswareness #silica #events #acvgards – 29th November saw our org conduct its Asbestos and Silica Awareness event in Gippsland Heritage Park Moe – there were many who gathered from around Gippsland to come and listen to our inspirational speakers who all added the knowledge sharing and support of those who are suffering and lost someone to #asbestos and #silica – #acvgards would like to thank all those who attended and contributed to the day – a big shout out to the unions and the businesses/gov/companies and individuals that supported us in this endeavour – we could not have done it without you. Our speakers were varied – Dr Georgia Khatib – Director at ASSEA, Jarni Greatorex mesothelioma suffer – and her mum Jessie Dean, Joanna Mcneill Silicosis advoacte, Ellen-Jane Browne CEO Latrobe Health Assembly, Rob Berveezy CFMEU shop Steward Loy Yang – We thank them very much for their participation and adding to the bank of knowledge sharing. Our Ecumenical service was conducted by Reverend Canon Gradwell Fredericks from the Anglican Parish of Traralgon, The Choir of “Yes I can” – Gippsland, and Richard Harris Bag piper all added their touch to the event and we thank them all.
