#asbestos #silica #monashuniversity – ACV/GARDS attended the Gippsland campus of Monash Uni to deliver a session on asbestos and silica to 110+ 1st Year Medical students – it was a great session and plenty of questions – really lovely to have Jarni come along to talk about her situation and the challenges she has faced. Truly inspiring – Vicki spoke about the org and what it has achieved over the years and how it supports people in Victoria and the projects and issues it is dealing with. Prof Jane Bourke spoke about projects she is involved with about silica and what those projects are trying to achieve – all in all it was wonderful meeting all the students and chatting with them after the tutorial – thanks Prof Shivaughn Hem-Lee-Forsyth for inviting us to address the students on Workplace Health and Safety
